Tantus is a sex toy manufacturer based in the US; personally I really like this company, they have fantastic values, and use only 100% medical grade silicone (Meaning that it is fully body safe, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, non-porous and phthalate free). They believe that everyone should be entitled to a healthy sex life – I couldn’t agree more.
The Packaging & Delivery:
Ok so the packaging is quite simplistic it is just in a clear bag which keeps the dildo clean whilst in transit! This is always a good thing due to the fact that silicone really attracts dirt, dust and really everything else it comes in contact with.
I do have to say though that the outer packaging wasn’t really discreet, the dildo as I said was in a clear bag and that clear bag was put in a jiffy bag for delivery;(This could be because it’s a grab bag item as their other items do come in a box) due to this you could instantly tell what was in the package just by handling it. An invoice was also attached to the front of the package which clearly displayed the name of the item – this I guess isn’t so bad, ‘Echo Handle’ could be anything if you don’t know the names of sex toys; it does however have a very distinct shape.
Tantus is a US based company so items are distributed from there; and I’m from the UK – I just wanted to go through the delivery process that I experienced as an international buyer. I ordered my dildo late Sunday night, I opted for express international delivery; it was packed and dispatched on Monday and was received first thing on Thursday morning. Personally I never wanted to order items internationally, I am far too impatient to wait for deliveries, there is the potential of custom charges and all out it just seems like such a huge hassle. In this instance the delivery was fantastic- I didn’t have a problem with it at all and it got here quicker than some places that deliver within the UK, from the experience that I’ve had I would have no hesitation to purchase direct from Tantus in the future.
How it looks:
With a length of 11.6 inches this dildo really does look quite huge and can be somewhat intimidating upon first glance, however at the base of the dildo there is a handle which comprises of 4.2 inches of the overall length; the handle has groves along one side of it make it easy to grasp during use, and incredibly comfortable to hold.
The insertable length of the dildo is 7.4 inches; this has a circumference of 4.9 inches at its largest part, the girth does decrease slightly throughout the shaft; the smallest circumference is at the base of the dildo which is 4.2 inches in circumference.
Both the handle and the shaft are made from 100% Ultra-Premium silicone, the shaft has a shiny silicone finish and the handle has a matte silicone finish.
The Echo Handle comes in two primary colours, these are ‘strawberry’ and ‘Midnight purple’; there is the option to get a ‘grab bag’ of the item. The grab bag selection of Tantus toys is amazing! It provides you with high quality of silicone toys at a rather discounted price! YAY – but what’s the catch? Basically grab bags are when they’re switching the colour in the machines; because of this you won’t know what the colour the dildo will be, it could be a mix of colours; it could look really great but it also is able to not look as good. It is up to you if you choose to either pay full price for the normal colours and know exactly what you’re getting, or take a gamble that you may not like the colour of the dildo you receive. I opted for a grab bag and the colour I got was a black handle and going from black to deep purple up the shaft! I love the colour I received.
Cleaning and maintaining
Due to it being made from silicone it is both easy to clean and maintain; it is fully submersible in water so can be cleaned in hot soapy water, sprayed with sex toy cleaner and wiped down; hell you could go mad, you can boil it and even put it in the dishwasher! Don’t you just love toys that are such a pleasure to use and then clean-up is a breeze? – I would recommend giving it a clean before use also just to make sure there isn’t any lint or dust on there.
I recommended that you use a high quality water based lubricant; as other lubricants may damage your toy. If you’d like to use other lubricants with this dildo then I would advise doing a spot test somewhere on the dildo first to see if it effects it in any way before slathering it on.
The Echo Handle comes in a plastic bag and a storage bag isn’t included; so if you’d like to keep it in a storage bag you will have to purchase one separately; I would recommend purchasing one really to keep it lint and dust free, as it really does attract everything.
For those of you that have previously read my blog; or even looked through it, you’ll notice that I have yet to review a silicone dildo. I love glass, I love metal and I love ceramic dildos; but not once have I reviewed a silicone dildo. Why? Well… Honestly; I like my dildos hard and rigid which is why I like the above materials, I’d never really had the urge to try a silicone dildo; I gave in and I tried one and, well it wasn’t that great. I mean don’t get me wrong; it wasn’t bad, it was just OK; after months of having it I’ve still not made up my mind about whether I like it or not; it gets pulled out now and again, but it’s most definitely not my go to toy.
When I saw the Tantus Echo Handle something about it enticed me; the shape, the size, the handle? …. Honestly I’m not sure why I felt I needed to purchase the Echo handle but I did, and holy fuck; I am so glad I did; seriously glad I did.
I love everything about this dildo; the handle is perfect and comfortable to hold, making it super easy to thrust; I don’t need to contort my body in order to be able to get penetration hard and deep, whilst using a clitoral vibrator. The silicone used to make the dildo is both firm and flexible which I really like; I think this was a great transition from glass as it’s not super squishy and it felt absolutely glorious inside of me. The ridges felt amazing, with glass sometimes the ridges can hurt; not this beauty there was no pain – just fantastic blissful pleasure.
I loved every minute of using this dildo; I actually didn’t want to stop using it, a lot of times when I use a dildo I use more than one. I switch out between products; I had my favourite dildo beside me so I could use it and see how the Echo handle differs to it in terms of stimulation, and when it came to switching out I didn’t want to; I really didn’t want to. No, this felt too good, far too good.
It wasn’t rigid, it wasn’t cold but I loved how it felt inside me; how deep I could make it go; how effortless it was to use, how it made me come over and over and how it found my G spot with complete ease.
I actually couldn’t find anything about the dildo itself that I didn’t like – So I had to get petty – Tantus! Where’s the storage bag?! That is the beginning and end of my complaint list.
Silicone has never been a part of my ‘Go to’ list; but it certainly is now. I’m proud to say that the Echo Handle has made its way into my top three dildos.
If you’d like to purchase an Echo Handle then you can do so from Tantus.
