Fifty Shades of Grey You. Are. Mine. Metal Handcuffs
April 15, 2014
The You.Are.Mine handcuffs are part of the Fifty Shades of Grey; The Official Pleasure Collection approved by author E L James.
A lot of people are currently on the Fifty Shades of Grey (FSOG) bandwagon at the moment; and as much as some people dislike the book and writing style; it seems to have opened the market quite a bit in terms of bondage and the stigmata that originally came with it. So much so that there is now a FSOG sex toy collection.
The handcuffs come in simplistic packaging which is quite nice as it doesn’t look sordid at all. Also included in the box is a FSOG storage bag to keep your cuffs in when not in use. The handcuffs come with one pair of keys, but there is a safety latch so it’s not going to be a major problem if lost.
I hate safety latches on handcuffs, they really irk me. I mean OK yeah, I’d probably be grateful of them if the keys ever got lost whilst I was cuffed up; but really who does that? It’s not really that difficult to look after a handcuff key. And if it is, have a spare someplace else. I have a handcuff key attached to an earring which I put on my earring holder.
Also the other annoying thing about safety latches is for me they catch all the time! When handcuffed to the bed post and you’re squirming and thrashing around; my hand always manages to hit the release key. (I can’t be the only one that happens to) it makes it rather annoying having to get re-cuffed up.
On the plus side thought, these cuffs are rather strong. They’re not flimsy like a lot of the metal handcuffs out there which are easily broken. And I’ve not managed to break these ones yet, considering I’m a very strong girl is always a plus.
The OH also liked the You.Are.Mine engraved into them, since this is something he always says to me. And it adds a nice little touch for the item itself.
These handcuffs are perfect for beginners, they’re sturdy and as handcuffs go they look quite nice. They have that awful safety catch on them so they’ll be good for people at little apprehensive about being cuffed up; as they have the ability to free themselves at any time. But for people who aren’t new to BDSM then I wouldn’t recommend them.
