In a lot of ways, the Tantus Goliath ‘vibrator’ reminds me quite a bit of the Anaconda handle, also from Tantus. There are a few obvious differences, the lack of handle for one, and the bullet hole with included bullet that makes the Goliath both a dildo and a vibrator. Although they’re both different, they’re still quite similar. The silicone on both is incredibly unforgiving and a lot of lubrication is needed. Due to the firmness of the silicone the veins are quite pronounced (Though there’s much more texture and pronounced veins on Goliath) and, if you discount the handle, they’re both of a similar size.
The Tantus Goliath has an insertable length of 7.5 inches. The head is slightly bigger than the shaft with the head measuring in at 6 inches of girth, while the shaft is a little smaller at 5.3 inches. For me, at least, this makes it quite a large toy, so it’s not something you can just pull out of your dildo box and use without proper preparation.
You may have noticed, earlier, that I placed the word ‘vibrator’ in quotations. That’s because, while the Goliath is a vibrator, it also isn’t. At the base of the dildo there is a hole where you can place a bullet vibrator and a bullet vibrator is included with the Goliath. The problem is that the bullet isn’t nearly strong enough for the vibrations to travel thorough the dildo. Tantus makes amazing dildos, however, their bullet vibrators are both buzzy and weak. Because of this, it doesn’t really vibrate the dildo at all. I have used my Tango bullet in the dildo hole and, although the vibrations were better and you could feel them, I much preferred using this as a dildo and not a vibrator. If you’re going to use this with a bullet, I would also advise that you lube up the bullet prior to inserting it, as it makes it far easier to remove.
Since the bullet from the vibrator is removable and because it’s made from 100% medical grade silicone, the Goliath is incredibly easy to clean. Making sure to remove the bullet that you’re using, you can either dunk the dildo part in to some warm soapy water, boiling water, in the dish washer or in a 10% bleach solution (90% water and 10% bleach). Make sure to give the ‘veins’ proper attention, as lubricants and bodily fluids may get stuck there.
The Goliath is beautifully made and really is a fantastic dildo. It’s great for those moments when I long to be filled. When teamed up with a clitoral vibe, the dildo feels fantastic. My vaginal muscles clenching on the toy texture was really noticeable and just enhanced the whole experience.
I found that, in use, the Goliath needed a truck load of lubrication and I also really needed to warm up beforehand, otherwise, either my vagina refused it entry or it was just uncomfortable. Although seemingly minuscule, the vein-like detailing – due to the firmness (read: rock hard) of the silicone – is incredibly prominent, which is both a blessing and a curse. For me, it had the ability to feel amazing, however, it also felt uncomfortable at times, which doesn’t make this toy something that I could use every day.
